Description: Come celebrate the holiday season during this event. Enjoy excerpts from Handel's Messiah, sing along with Christmas carols and Hanukkah favorites performed by the chorus, soloists and The Orchestral Arts Ensemble of Queens under the direction of Maestro David Close.
Venue Description: For more than 45 years, Queensborough Performing Arts Center, located on the Queensborough Community College campus in Bayside, has served as an outpost of culture to its surrounding community. QPAC offers a central location near many local restaurants, making it an excellent destination for a family night out.
The center has both a professional and a children's series, providing programming for every age. The children's series is brought to the community in conjunction with a book club, a reading program that helps introduce young children to the joys of reading by staging the books chosen. The children's performances held at QPAC make for a great birthday party activity. QPAC provides a private location for lunch, discounted front-row seats, and a "Happy Birthday" serenade from the stage.
