Want to do some good this Thanksgiving? The following places around Queens need your help. Call ahead to confirm details.

 

  • The Greater Allen Cathedral

They will be distributing more than 18,000 meals on Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving and will offer a sit-down meal on Thanksgiving Day.

 

  • Salvation Army

Their soup kitchen is offered Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 12-1pm. Their pantry is offered on Thursdays 10am-11am. The Salvation Army will be hosting Thanksgiving dinners at two additional locations TBD in Queens. Call 212-337-7200 for more information.

They are running a Food Drive from November 10-20. 8:30am-4pm, Monday-Friday. They accept canned, nonperishable food items, to be collected by City Harvest.

 

City Harvest also works with more than 80 locations in Queens. Call your local church, synagogue, or community center for more information.
