See vital artwork by black artists including Jacob Lawrence, Elizabeth Catlett, and Kara Walker, and discuss the social and political context in which they were made, at African-American Works in MoMA’s Collection. FREE!

Black Stars of the Great White Way

Music and the performing arts have always been a part of the African-American experience. Enjoy an evening of Broadway showstoppers at Black Stars of the Great White Way. This all-male musical tribute features original cast members from Broadway hits such as Duke Ellington’s Sophisticated Ladies and Fats Waller’s Ain’t Misbehavin, along with Tony-nominated actor Norm Lewis from Porgy & Bess and legendary song and dance man Maurice Hines.
