We have packed our FULLY AIR CONDITIONED gymnasium, located in Flushing, Queens NY, with all the equipment we need to give your children a fun gymnastics learning experience. Careful planning has made for a safe, logical setup, utilizing approximately 10,000 square feet of space, all combined to make Lana’s Gymnastics Club the premiere gymnastics center in Queens, NY. With ample lobby space, a Parents’ Lounge, and appropriate viewing of the entire gymnasium, Lana’s Gymnastics Club has it all. Stop by today to view our facility, or browse the online pages! Besides a training area we also have retail shops. Choose from a large selection of merchandise with everything from leotards to grips. We kept safety and comfort in mind in the design of our Pre-School Gymnasium facility. Popular cartoon characters decorate the walls and the soft, colorful multi-shaped mats protect from possible injury. All equipment is made especially for pre-school aged children, designed with safety in mind. Exercises are taught with the use of gymnastic ladders, rings, pedant ropes, balance beams and trampoline. Mommy & Me: Our interactive program takes place in our “safety” baby gym filled with colorful mats, bouncers, barrels, balls, bars and much more! Parents share one-on-one activities while your child receives a fun-filled head start developing important social and physical skills. It’s really exciting to be there when your little one tries their first tumble or is enjoying our safety trampoline. Tiny Tots: We kept safety and comfort in mind in the design of our Pre-School Gymnasium facility. This fun-filled program consists of games, choreographic exercises, dance and gymnastic positions. Popular children’s music helps students get involved in the routines. Kinder Gym: This independent pre-school program focuses on movement education and creative expression. In this 60 minute class, modified gymnastics apparatus is utilized to create a specially designed program for pre-school children. Basic gymnastics will be learned in a fun playful way with the help of music and games to further develop self-confidence and spatial awareness. Beginners: We believe individuals advance at their own pace while remaining part of the “team”. Our goals include developing: Strength, balance, special awareness, flexibility, coordination, locomotor and non-locomotor and manipulation skills. Our program contributes to each child’s physical, mental and social development building the individuals poise, self-confidence and self-esteem. Teaching very basic skills, improving previously learned skills, and learning new skills in an order that follows the specific sequences and progressions prescribed by the United Sates Gymnastics Federation. Progressive: This is our development program that takes students to the progressive next level. Fine-tune skills emphasizing strength, flexibility, body alignment and gymnastic skills. Skills taught include forward and backward rolls, head and handstands, cartwheels, and basic skills on the bars beam and vault. When ready, students will be taught back extension rolls, round off, handstand rolls, walkover, and more advanced skills on all gymnastics equipment. Little Stars Program (Pre-Team) Mobility through Little Stars Program is achieved by successfully completing progressions set forth by the Team Directors based on USA Gymnastics guidelines. The progressions for Little Stars Program cover the following six areas of basic gymnastic development: Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, Floor Exercise, Strength and Flexibility. There are 4-5 progressions for each of the above areas and all must be achieved before entry into the competitive level. Team: Naturally-talented students who radiate a passion for the sport of gymnastics and are able to meet the required time commitment, are invited to our Junior Olympic programs. As part of a team, these young athletes learn, and ultimately perform, the national guidelines for gymnastic skill and routines. Their interest in the sport and the camaraderie they share are ingredients for success, in and out of the competition arena.
